Truth-in-advertising -- Someone pointed out a possible misunderstanding related to the wording of this post. Thus, to set the record straight: N.T. Wright is not a "friend" of ours in the same way that Mary Hulst or Jana Riess or John Witvliet are friends. Though we've met the good bishop, he's more a "friend" in the same way that Frederick Buechner is our friend, or Mary Sidney, or Augustine of Hippo.
